Hi, I am Sana
A warm welcome from me, Dr Sana Ahmed
I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist offering a range of therapeutic approaches grounded in compassion, professionalism, and care. I invite you to take a moment to watch my introduction video, where I share more about who I am, the therapies I offer, and how we might work together at a pace that feels right for you.
My work is guided by an intersectional perspective that recognises the importance of identity and lived experience, including factors such as race, gender, culture, faith, and other aspects that shape how we understand ourselves and our mental health. I aim to create a space where these experiences are acknowledged with sensitivity and respect.
A key part of my work is my research, which explores mental health within South Asian communities. It investigates the significant gaps in awareness and understanding, as well as the profound influence of cultural and religious beliefs on how mental health is perceived, experienced, and addressed.
I hope this small introduction helps you feel a sense of comfort and connection as you take this first step. I am truly glad you are here and welcome to the beginning of your enriching experience.
